This Cancellation and Refund Policy outlines how Metakosh Technologies Private Limited (Spotcash) handles cancellations, failed transactions, and refund requests for all services provided at www.spotcash.in. We are committed to fair and transparent refund practices.
1 Service Charge Refund Policy
The service charge (2.5% flat, minimum ₹250) is applicable on all successful credit card to bank transfer transactions.
Non-Refundable: The service charge is non-refundable once a transaction has been successfully processed and funds have been credited to the recipient bank account. This applies regardless of whether the customer later decides they no longer need the funds.
- The service charge covers our processing, handling, and operational costs
- It is deducted at the time of transaction and is not a deposit or advance payment
- The charge is clearly communicated before every transaction — by proceeding, you accept this charge
2 Failed Transactions
A failed transaction is defined as a transaction where your credit card was charged (or payment was processed via PayByLink) but the funds were not credited to the recipient bank account.
Full Refund Guarantee: In case of a failed transaction due to any reason on our end or banking system failure, the full service charge is refunded within 5–7 business days. The principal amount is also reversed to your credit card by the respective bank.
- We notify you via WhatsApp/SMS within 30 minutes if a transaction fails
- Failed transaction refunds are initiated within 24 hours of confirmation
- Credit card reversal timelines depend on your card-issuing bank (typically 3–7 working days)
- Transaction failure due to incorrect bank details provided by you is not covered under this guarantee
3 Incorrect Bank Transfer
If funds are transferred to an incorrect bank account due to wrong details provided by you (wrong account number or IFSC code), the following applies:
- Spotcash is not liable for losses arising from incorrect bank details provided by the customer
- We will make reasonable efforts to assist in fund recovery by contacting the beneficiary bank
- Fund recovery from an incorrect account is not guaranteed and depends on the receiving bank's cooperation
- If the error was made on our end (we entered different details than provided by you), we will fully rectify the situation at no additional cost
Important: Always double-check your bank account number and IFSC code before confirming a transaction. We display these details for your review before processing — verify carefully.
4 Cancellation Policy — Store Visit
For in-person transactions at our Turbhe office, the following cancellation terms apply:
- Before card swipe: You may cancel freely at any time before swiping your credit card — no charge applies
- After card swipe but before OTP: Cancellation may be possible — inform our staff immediately
- After OTP entry: Transaction is initiated and generally cannot be cancelled. Service charge applies
- After settlement: Transaction is complete and non-reversible. Service charge is non-refundable
5 PayByLink Cancellation Policy
For PayByLink (online) transactions, the following cancellation terms apply:
- Before clicking payment link: No charge — simply ignore/don't use the link (it expires in 30 minutes)
- After clicking link but before entering card details: No charge — close the payment page
- After entering card details but before OTP: Do not proceed — close the page. No charge if OTP is not submitted
- After OTP submission: Payment is processed. Service charge applies. Cancellation not possible once initiated
Tip: PayByLink payment links expire after 30 minutes. If you decide not to proceed, simply let the link expire — no charge will be applied.
6 Chargeback Policy
A chargeback is a transaction reversal initiated by the customer through their credit card issuer.
- Unjustified chargebacks for successfully completed transactions constitute a breach of our Terms and Conditions
- We maintain detailed transaction logs — including timestamps, IP addresses, OTP records, and settlement confirmations — that are fully admissible as evidence
- We will contest all fraudulent chargeback claims with complete transaction evidence
- Customers who raise fraudulent chargebacks will be blacklisted and may face legal proceedings
Legitimate chargebacks (e.g., for failed transactions where we have already processed a refund) will not be contested. Please contact us first before raising a chargeback — most issues can be resolved quickly via WhatsApp.
7 Refund Timeline
When a refund is approved, the following timelines apply:
Refund timelines are indicative and depend on processing by payment networks and banks. We initiate refunds from our end within 24 hours of approval.
8 How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, follow these steps within 48 hours of the transaction:

48-Hour Limit: All refund requests must be raised within 48 hours of the transaction date. Requests raised after this window will not be considered except in exceptional circumstances at our sole discretion.
